2020 Block a Month CAL - Part 1
The Block-a-Month CAL started on Ravelry in 2008 picking up from a similar CAL hosted on Craftster. Initially, free of charge blocks were selected from the many crochet blogs around at the time for crocheters to work along together in a mix and match style.
In recent years 3 blocks have been featured each month: a 12 inch moderator selection (often designed especially for us), a 12 inch chosen by members from a selection of additional squares members have made in the previous month, and a moderator chosen 6 inch square.
As we head towards the final months of the year, I’m taking the opportunity to look back at the squares featured in the group this year.
It is amazing how different colour choices in patterns give a different look to a design - one of the key things group CALs like this reveal, so please click through the links to the patterns. Links are to the designer’s own blog, unless the pattern is only available as a Ravelry download (these are annotated as such).
